Knee Knocker
So, did we know it rains so much in New York?
We didn’t, but a little rain did not keep me from spending a recent Sunday on a golf course in upstate New York. Yes, you read that correctly. Golf.
I have wanted to learn for a while now, and was lucky enough to have the opportunity to participate in a “Beginner’s Tour” class through ESPN Golf School (http://www.espngolfschool.com/beginners_tour.php). And, it was great! (Apparently, my high school years playing field hockey were good for something. Funny, I seem to be drawn to playing sports where I can wear a skirt!) I have a long way to go before I actually play 18 holes, so for now I am happy reading my “Golf for Dummies” book and hitting balls at Chelsea Piers:

Over the Memorial Day weekend, I spent some sun-, fun- and cocktail-filled days in Los Angeles. It was a great trip, and I did my best to eat as many burritos as I could. Good times were had by all.
